FDI Workbook Performance Optimization Guide
Oracle's new guide gives FDI report authors practical ways to build faster, more responsive Data Visualization workbooks:
- Start with the right subject area, prebuilt metrics, recommended filters, and available FDI workbook templates.
- Keep workbooks focused: Generally, no more than five or six canvases and eight visualizations per canvas.
- Limit data early with workbook filters, set useful defaults, and use the Apply button for high-volume selections.
- Run Workbook Check-Up and test with non-administrator users, varied security roles, and realistic concurrency.
Put the guidance into practice: Access the new Workbook Performance Optimization Guide and watch the CEAL Office Hours Workbook Performance Optimization Replay for a step-by-step demonstration.
New Resource: Fusion Data Intelligence Content Library
Oracle has launched the new FDI Content Library, featuring downloadable sample dashboards, AI-enabled content, prebuilt AI data agents, and packaged solutions across ERP, SCM, HCM, and CX. These ready-to-use assets can help teams accelerate implementation and deliver new analytics experiences.
Share Warehouse Tables with External Data Stores (Preview)
Administrators can share selected FDI warehouse tables with OCI Object Storage in Delta, Iceberg, or Parquet formats, enabling curated FDI data to be combined with external analytics environments. Review the prerequisites and current public-instance limitations before planning adoption. Learn more about Data Share (Preview).
What's New in Oracle Analytics Cloud for FDI Customers
Recent Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) enhancements give FDI customers more control over analytics design, personalization, and governance.
- More flexible analysis: Let consumers add or remove approved columns from tables and pivots, scan measures using data bars, apply text-based conditional formatting, search hierarchy members, create time-series calculations through a guided wizard, and export workbook content to PDF in formatted or full-data mode.
- Guided, app-like workbooks: Use Set Parameter data actions with buttons and chart selections, set workbooks as landing pages, and hide the Back button from workbook consumers in Present mode.
- Personalized experiences: Automatically display supported date and time data in each user's preferred time zone, while tailoring visualization titles and embedded supporting content for different audiences.
- Contextual AI and stronger governance: Use Oracle Analytics AI Assistant and AI Agents, bind Agent filters to workbook parameters, monitor AI token usage, and fix supported Semantic Modeler consistency-check issues with one click.
Explore the updates: Review the May 2026 OAC What's New documentation, read the OAC May 2026 blog, or view the Favorite Features of the March and May 2026 releases session. Feature availability may vary by environment, configuration, and enabled services.
