  • Is there any way to separate the terms list? There are certain terms we would like to prevent from being used for customers but would allow for vendors, or vice versa... Thanks!
  • Any movement on this topic? We need to be able to allow them to select either invoice (on their predetermined terms) or CC (Cash Sale) - is this possible? We cannot find the option to show the "Transaction Form" field on the order, so it doesn't seem like they can select themselves... The only form available for use in the…
  • Doubtful... I never experienced such behavior, but I did test another item in another account without dashes... Opened a case with ns support; will you're you when I hear back. Appreciate the effort to help out!
  • Thanks! To me, too! Only one line, yes. No header. Also, the trailing comma after the last field isn't in the file (it's just in the error message above). Vendor code does not already exist, although I tried without one as well.
  • The issue was resolved... it was tied to a setting for the webstore.
  • I would also opt for a new customer record for each customer in your base. Though, you do want to single them out. Perhaps, the best idea would be to code them differently, so that your one-time buyers are secluded and don't fall into the same lists, etc. This may be accomplished in a number of ways: We have a Customer…
  • Something else that we could use is a way to define how Netsuite should determine duplicates. We have a need for customers with the same phone, for example, under different accounts for different programs that we offer - but ultimately within the program there should be no duplicates, for the most part. So, we would love…
  • Weird... that works for us. Always had. Sounds like a bug. Bad news. Interesting. Maybe not in the following scenario? When we have a legitimate 3 accounts, let's say, that are part of different programs, and none should be duplicates - I believe that we have no way of clearing those off of the list (unless we say two of…
  • So, there's no way to uncancel?
  • Thanks, Olivier. The ticket with Netsuite is still open, and as of now there is no update. Obviously, they can reproduce the same issue and have even emailed me updating me on that fact numerous times, but they are yet to find out whether or not this is a defect. It has been some time already, but for some reason they have…
  • Here's the response from Netsuite: There are basically 2 issues here: 1. If the employee restriction is set, then the sales rep should not be able to create a transaction if he/she is not the assigned sales rep on the customer record. 2. If the sales rep has the option to create a transaction for a customer other than…
  • Correct, Tom. You got it! We have it configured like so: Employee Restrictions own and subordinates only Allow Viewing [Y] This restricts them from being able to enter a new sales order properly, I guess. The issue is, why is that at all connected to Employee Restrictions. . . We opened a ticket with Netsuite last week,…
  • Tom: Thanks for the input! Olivier: Thanks, as well. So, I hear two experts speaking, but am not sure I understand correctly. Would this be a defect, or is it really something that we should be tweaking on our end? I happen to think that maybe it shouldn't work that way in theory (like you seem to be indicating pretty…
  • Thanks, Olivier. I opened a case with Netsuite. But, you got me thinking about roles and I noticed... This is a sales rep role; could it be that since I am not assigned as the primary sales rep for that customer then I cannot access the customer record from the sales order, in which case it will not populate the Taxable…
  • Confirmed. I just opened up a customer for which I am the primary sales rep, and I was able to enter an order and under the Accounting tab, the Taxable and Tax Item are both auto-populated. Shouldn't there be a way for me to enter an order for another sales rep and still retain that information??? :h_a_w:
  • I have a similar question: Can you Buy X @ groups of 5 Get y @ groups of 1 So, if I have a 5+1 promo, and the customer orders 10 - they'll get two of the y item? I can't seem to figure out how to configure this. All I can do, at best, is percentages, but that will give you the same percentage off at uneven quantities, like…
  • We use the ship date field, and then an elaborate summarized Saved Search (SS) on the dashboard. The SS is called "Sales Orders Ready to Fulfill" and is sorted by ship date. Late orders are highlighted red, today's orders yellow, and future orders no highlighting. The SS only shows SO that have items committed, and are…
  • How about automating the billing of one SO that may have been fulfilled from two warehouse locations? For example, many orders of ours are fulfilled out of multiple locations, and even on the same day - it is a nuisance for the customer to receive multiple bills / invoices for shipments that were sent on the same day! We…
  • We actually built a home-grown solution that works extremely well. Our phone system (Zultys MX) allows for a command line interface to initiate calls, with a few switches in the call for specifying roles, etc. So, we registered a protocol in the Registry to initiate the phone call via the browser ( "call:" ) and actually…
  • Aha. So, we had something for inbound, but were limited in that regard, and Outbound meant a lot more for the sales management, so we worked that solution first. It is a nice solution - the only thing is that a) reserving time we ran into issues with, because there was no way to edit the time fields in the proper time zone…
  • Is anybody using Zultys for their PBX? We use the Zultys MX - please let me know if anybody has experience integrating Zultys with Netsuite. I actually built a process using their Flex Communicator that takes information from an incoming call and sends it to a Suitelet that pops up information to include in a phone call…
  • What about SuiteCommerce, jmalinis?
  • Great topic, but how does this pan out when you throw Midmarket vs Enterprise in the mix? We are extremely confused over whether the Midmarket edition will have the CMS/Search/other capabilities of SuiteCommerce/Advanced Storefront that are listed in the release notes for 2013.1 - does anyone have any clarity on this?
  • Is there any way to allow customers logged into the Customer Center to somehow search for items, by description, somewhere? On the Sales Order form itself, if you click on the item field and select List - you can only search by the Item Name, which is meaningless to many of our customers... Only the item description…
  • See this post for a clear answer to my question above: Customer Center: Item Search Thanks!
  • Ken, Thanks! That was exactly it - adding the tab for the saved searches does the trick! Do you know if there is any way to customize the sales order forms (external) to allow someone logged into the Customer Center to select whether they want to enter a SO on terms (invoice) or pay by CC (cash sale)?
  • Thanks, Ken. Can you elaborate? How would they be able to search items to add to the sales order? Even my reps on the inside have to search occasionally on the Sales Order, if they don't know the item code... they are constantly leveraging the search functionality to locate an item and enter it into the order. At least let…
