NetSuite Support Community is a vast community covering all of NetSuite products and services. We understand...it's a lot! And you rightfully want "just the facts" in the areas that are of interest to you.
We're here to help!
Take a few minutes now to set yourself up for a quick, instant view of all the new discussions and comments that have taken place in the subcategories that you want to engage in! To stay informed, follow the steps below to tailor your NetSuite experience to your needs.
Step 1: "Follow" subcategories of interest
Visit the Categories link to see the list of product areas and general forums that are represented in NetSuite. Click into each one that interests you to see the available subcategories.
Categories or subcategories that are configured to contain content can be followed by clicking the bell icon beside the subcategory name, and then clicking the "Follow Category button:
When you click the "Follow Category" button, a new set of options appears that allows you to specify how you want to receive notifications for new activity in your followed location. For details on what these options mean and how they affect the notifications you receive (if any), please see Setting Up Category Notifications for New Content. You do not need to set up notifications for your followed categories, but keep in mind that if you do want notifications of new activity in specific locations, you must first be following those places.
Do this for all of the subcategories you want to be informed about. Remember that you might also want to consider following "general" areas of the community, such as the "Announcements" and "NetSuite Admin Corner" categories.
Step 2: Change the LOV on the Categories and Discussions pages
Now visit the Categories page again and note the "View" LOV near the top. This allows you to switch between viewing "All" categories in NetSuite and the categories you are "Following".
Change the view to "Following". See now that all of the categories and subcategories you chose NOT to follow are no longer displayed.
This is a great way to set up a quick jump to your Product/Category pages of interest.
And don't worry... your "All-NetSuite" view is still retrievable by simply clicking the LOV again and returning to "All".
And here's where the power of "following" really comes in. Now navigate to the NetSuite Discussions link.
Again, change the LOV at the top to only show you content you are following. The content you are shown will change to just the content that exists in your followed areas.
Step 3: Get involved!
Now that you have a single queue of all that matters to you in NetSuite, get involved! Don't be afraid to help your peers... you may have the best approach to a problem, after all, and this is the place to share it.
Even if you don't know the answers yourself, visit the threads to learn, to "like" particularly insightful responses, and to get to know the other members who make NetSuite such a remarkable place to share knowledge.
