Load position data and and an additional custom Dimension is not allowed In the workforce planning

My customer is currently using the out of the box workforce planning module in EPBCS. Initially the module had only configured for one custom dimension "Company" and was not supposed to load metadata/data for employee positions.

However there is a new requirement which came in recently from the customer where they want to load employee position metadata and data associated with it into workforce planning. As per Oracle, we are not supposed to enable any additional custom dimension in this juncture to support this requirement. I would like to know what are the alternatives available in the out of the box workforce module to get through the same ?
