Segment from a Shared List with contacts added after a specific date

Hi there!
We're building a segment from a Shared List.
But we would like to consider only contacts who were added to this Shared List after a specific date. Is there any option to achieve it? How could I create a rule to work with this exception?
Thanks in advance

Hello @User_X90PP,
Thank you for reaching out to the community forum.
You can use filter criteria to dynamically build your segment. Find more details in this help article:

Hi @User_X90PP , There is no way we could do so since the date and time is not stamped in the shared list against every contact. Could you tell me what exactly is the use case, so i could think of some workarounds on this?

We have the same requirement. We have canvases that collect contacts in shared lists based on combination of clicks, opens and consumption of asset (might be a form submission or an external event). We plan to create additional email campaigns for those in the list, but we don't have these designed yet. What we know is that we want to add them to these new campaigns based on when they completed the previous campaign and were added to the list. For example, we might want the new emails to start one month after we collected their data in the shared list.
We do not want to leave the contacts in the original canvases, because we are also attempting to control the number of emails they receive. By removing them from a canvas they completed, it opens them to entering another campaign for another set of nurturing.

Hello @Victor M Lopez
Contact Added Date is one of the reporting attributes available in Eloqua Insight. You can filter out contacts who were already added to a Contact Shared List after a specific date using the following Subject Area:
This is the set of reporting attributes you will need:
Export your report and manually filter by the Email Addresses using Segment filter criteria.
If this is for a completely new Shared List, you will need to create a Program Canvas that will use an Update Rule to date stamp a custom Contact Field right before contact is added to a Shared List. Using Segment filter criteria you will be able to filter by the Contact Field value.
Hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any questions.
Best,
Piotr

Thank you Piotr.
I'm going to check your solution. Sounds good!

Would love to see more filterable system fields that we can use in segments and shared filters. Manually using Insight for this doesn't make sense in many cases, and if we are doing it at scale that makes for A LOT of custom contact fields.

Hello,
A few workarounds I can think of are:
- For long-term and always-on projects, maybe you want to consider building a complementary CDO to store the interactions and the dates. Then, you can use this CDO for segmentation.
- If you have a nurture series with multiple stages (Awareness, Education, Consideration, and Decision), you can add the "Move to Campaign " step at the end of each nurture stage. You can also control when they should start the next nurture stage through an entry wait step (1 week or 1 month later).
- You can also manipulate the audience through segment exclusions, but this might be impacted by the complexity of your use case. For example: include your shared list, but exclude anyone who received the last email from your nurture stream within the past month.
I hope this helps. 😊
