Updates to Oracle Unity Publishing Platform Limits

As Oracle Unity Customer Data Platform continues to evolve, we want to highlight some recent updates to Unity's service description.
Since Unity's launch, we have placed certain guardrails on areas of our platform in order to both protect the customer experience and prevent a service disruption that could result from a malicious actor.
The following guardrails have recently been published. Please note, these published limits should not impact your use of Unity. They have been updated to protect against extreme situations.
- Bulk Ingestion
- Ingest jobs (file-based processing) are the fastest and most efficient method for large/bulk ingestion
- Use any one of our built-in integrations: SFTP, Oracle Object Store, S3, GCP, and more supported storage platforms are coming soon
- Stream API (Entities)
- 1500-2000 Records/Sec/Customer
- Volumes exceeding these limits will cause delays in processing, API requests returning an error response or rejection of the data.
- In any 60 sec period, the total number of records should not exceed 90,000
- Recommended message size is 10 records per API call
- Near Real Time API
- 2000-4000 Records per Second per Customer
- Volumes exceeding these limits will cause delays in processing and may trigger an error response or rejection of the data
- In any 60 sec period, the total number of records should not exceed 120,000
- Recommended message size is 10 records per API call
- For API Concurrency, we recommend a maximum of 10 concurrent API requests
- Unity Data Usage Guidelines: We have also added information for the limits applicable on the data model.
Note: Oracle will process the data payloads in our platform in alignment with our best efforts. Event bursts that exceed the payload size or throughput volume may result in queued processing. Under typical operational situations, latency will vary. The latency is based on many factors, including the ingestion method used, the type of data objects being updated, the specific use case, the data model, and many other operational factors. For more details, please refer to the attached documents.
If for any reason you believe you have a need to send us larger volumes than those detailed above, please contact MyOracle Support (MOS) so we can discuss your needs. Thank you for being a highly valued Oracle Unity Customer Data Platform customer!
