How to add a utm_content parameter to a link url in an email

Any utm parameters that I add to a link url in an email get overwritten by the Email Defaults External Tracking parameters. Is there a way to use the external tracking parameters as well as any additional parameters that are specific to the link?

For example, in my email, I have a header image with a link url similar to the following:
https://www.example.com/landing-page?utm_content=header

When I send the email, the url becomes:
https://www.example.com/landing-page?utm_source=eloqua&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=test_campaign&(other Eloqua parameters)

I'd like the url to become:
