Inherent functionality for naming models

The majority of our quotes have multiple models in them. To try to keep tabs on what each model is we have implemented a rough solution that allows users to name models. This solution works great, so long as there are 10 or fewer models in the quote and a user does not remove a model. It would really be nice to have a naming solution that scales with the number of models in a quote. For display purposes we created additional attributes to allow users to input the model names. We generally have fewer than 11 models in a quote, but implementation of a new product will likely blow this up. It would be nice if users could name the model in the line item grid, so maybe the Description field for the model row allows editing?
