Different locations for internal vs external candidates

At times we indicate more than one job location on a requisition.  We want both locations to come up in an employees job search so they know the location is open to either.  We are ok with considering internal candidates for either location.  However, there are times when we may only consider external candidates to the primary location.   Aside from posting 2 separate requisitions or posting some verbiage in the job description, I'm curious if you've found a way to handle this type of situation.  Thanks!
