HTML hyperlinks between LC pages: href vs. Javascript
Summary
What advantages does a Javascript link have over a plain-old href link?Content
Our LearnCenter has Single-sign-on authentication. We want to use hyperlinks on LearnCenter pages that do not cause the sign-on process to replay. The wrong hyperlink syntax will cause the sign-on process to replay all over again.
We have two methods employed on our site. They both succeed in keeping the user signed on while opening the target page. We wonder what the relative advantage is to the Javascript call over the straight href hyperlink.
