Required User Input OTBI Prompt - Not throwing error if input value is not selected.

Created OTBI Prompt and if made that field as Mandatory. But if the user run the report without giving any value, it's not running the report but is there any way it shows an error or warning to pop up saying that the user should input mandatory values.
