Overview

OMC Log Analytics lets the user associate sources to entities to enable log collection in the Administration UI. It also allows a customer to set Auto-associate to any source so that all instances of a given entity type the source is for will automatically have log collection enabled. You can learn more about entity to source association in the documentation under the section "Working with Entity Associations." 

Sometimes however, a user needs to be able to do a bulk association following rules of their own internal systems which cannot be done through the UI, or would be painful to do manually. We provide REST APIs to enable log collection. These REST API calls can be put together in a script to automate assocaitions as needed
