Overview

This how-to shows advanced features in Log Analytics to parse a log file that has a lot of numeric metric-type data to ingest it into Log Analytics for analysis. In addition to showing how to create a source and parser for Exawatcher VMStat, this document will also explain several advanced features of Log Analytics Parsing and Data Filters that you can make use of for other types of logs as well.
