Add Python interfaces to the ORAAH Machine Learning algorithms for Big Data

edited Oct 12, 2018 9:04PM in Idea Lab – Big Data

Description

Using both Python and R when it comes to interacting with the scalable ORAAH Machine Learning algorithms could open the interface to a larger audience

Use Case and Business Need

Many Data Scientists today have a preference for using Python over R when it comes interacting with Machine Learning algorithms.

A Python interface to ORAAH (Oracle R Advanced Analytics for Hadoop) could bring the scalability of ORAAH algorithms to a larger group of Data Scientists.  The release of ORAAH 2.8.0 already brings a new API for Java and Scala, allowing for Models to be built in R but scored via Java or Scala for example.
