Hi

I've created an ad-hoc grid to enable users to load data into an OAC Essbase cube. I want to protect the Excel sheet so that users don't break the structure or change member names etc. but should be allowed to enter data where required.

I have unticked 'Locked' under Protection in Format cells for the cells where they should enter data. However, after I've protected the sheet, I'm getting a Smart View error that you cannot enter data into the unlocked cells and that the sheet should be unprotected. This is not an Excel error.
