Removing author phase email notifications

Is there a way to disable author phase email notifications only e.g. automated emails saying the doclet has been started etc. but keep review phase emails? Because we have such a large user group some of our reports have between 70-100 doclets so authors get get up to 100 emails per report package when we start/modify the author phase. Thanks.
