EL Expression Syntax to Format Dates

We need to change the date format for Date Start in EL Expression

Hi All, 

We are using Page Composer to add additional details to the directory header.  We have successfully added the Date Start binding but the date format is coming back as YYYY-MM-DD.  We need it to be displayed as per our system default style (DD-MON-YYYY)  

#{bindings.DateStart.inputValue}

Does anybody have the syntax we need to use to change the date format?
