I wanted to understand the changes only HCM extract a bit better. 

Once a changes only extract is developed, for the initial run we would submit the extract for a run with the Changes Only field as 'All Attributes' so that a baseline is created. For the subsequent runs, we can select any of the options (ATTRIBUTE, BLOCK_OLD, BLOCK_OLD etc.) along with a mandatory effective date field to fetch the modified attributes in a separate delta file.

So when I create an extract (basic one, based on PER_EXT_PAY_EMPLOYEES_UE), add a couple of fields to test Person ID, Person Number, Person Name, DOB) and follow the above steps, if the DOB is updated, I can expect to see only the changed attribute (DOB) in the changes only / delta output
