Can block and boot volumes be resized online?

Student Guide says only offline resizing of block and boot volumes is possible, documentation says online resizing can be done.


Can you expand block and boot volumes online (without detaching from compute instance)?

Student Guide for "OCI Architect Associate" certification says the three options to expand a block or boot volume are:

-- Backup the original volume and restore into a larger one.

-- Clone the original volume to a larger one

-- Expand with offline resizing (detaching the volume before expansion).

But documentation at https://docs.cloud.oracle.com/en-us/iaas/Content/Block/Concepts/blockstarthere.htm  says:
