For businesses which buy from into wholesale distributors, it is an is an industry practice to support the fill or kill concept. If the full purchase order quantity cannot be fulfilled by the request date, the purchase order will automatically cancel.  This will the pull this quantity back into the Supply Planning Cloud to be replenished in another planned order.  This solution assumes that the trading partners have the appropriate contract terms in place to reflect the auto cancel of each of their purchase and sales orders.
