Create Role Conditions with "NOT EQUAL TO"

edited Nov 7, 2020 1:22AM in Applications Security

How can you include a condition where an attribute should "not equal to" a specific value?

The GUI "Create Role Mapping" interface does not allow us to implement a rule where we define a "not equal to" rule.

e.g., Position not equal to 12345

The alternative is for us to include 100s of values that are valid matches. This would be expensive operationally to maintain.

Is there an alternative interface that will allow this condition to be defined?

In a previous life, I was implementing similar rules in an LDAP system and could use ldap_search parameters to support this type of condition via syntax like:

Howdy, Stranger!
