HOW TO: Embedding Contextual Dashboard — Page Binding Parameters
Summary
Documentation to embed a dashboard as a webpage in ERP pages with contextual prompts using binding parametersContent
We've been live with Oracle Cloud Financials since January 2018, and as we've grown and matured in our implementation, we began to envision embedding contextually relevant analytics in application pages. The intention is to increase adoption of using insights and reduce waste activity by putting "what you need to know from several places" right "where you need it."
We've done this in PPM for Projects and Awards, and the attached guide shows how this can be achieved with Supplier records. The examples here reference creating additional tabs on the supplier profile to embed an insights or 'summary analytics' dashboard and a current activity dashboard, showing current contracts, open purchase orders, unpaid invoices, and recent payments (including related invoices). At a glimpse, a relevant user in our procure-to-pay team can see what's going on with a particular supplier.
