Create dashboard prompt choice list presenting VALUE to the User but sending a KEY to Analysis
Summary:
I am seeking to learn how a dashboard prompt can be configured to have one value presented to the user, while the corresponding ID is used by the analysis. This may be old school thinking, but for the SQL I would expect it is much easier (and faster) to process and compare numbers than long string values with one another.
Only in dashboard prompts is it possible to specify the data type (number in this case) why is that so?
Content (required):
Example I would like the have a dashboard prompt drop down choice list where the user can read and select the status name, but the value of the corresponding ID that was selected gets sent to the Analysis.
