The objective of this question is to let others confirm that the primary purpose of Forecast spreading is in Forecast consumption. For e.g. if total forecast for a week is 200 units and considering a 5 day work week and with forecast spread evenly, the per day forecast would be 40 units. In this case will system consider 40 units as the daily demand and generate planned orders accordingly. I tested and found no relation between forecast spread and generation of planned orders. Please confirm if my finding is correct.
