Changes to Custom Component is not reflected on Site

Can you confirm if the following behavior is expected?

Here is my test case -

Create a custom component

Add the component to a Site page

Export the component to a folder

The component files are synced to local drive with OCM sync app

On the local drive, edit paragraphText in file appinfo.json

Open Developer -> Components, then upload appinfo.json from local drive to the component

Go to the site, open the page in Editor, I notice that the content change in paragraphText is not reflected.

I delete the component from the page, then add it back.
