Images in the resource folder not rendering at Stage in Redwood Stable theme

Hi All,

The images defined as a url is not getting rendered: logo: './resources/images/icon_image.png'. I am aware adding an application path to an image source works but there are places where we cannot put a src tag like in a style element where increasing the width results to the stretching of an image or invoking some digital assistant scripts where we need to pass the url in a variable. How can we tackle such a situation?
