How do we cascade project end dates to task end dates?

My setup on the project template is as follows:

Project Plan Type: Roll up task dates to project is uncehcked.

Tried setting the following as cascade project finish date to related task on project template:

But the above setting gets reverted to default value 'Do Not Cascade'.

Created project out of this template with project start (1/1/2022) and end dates (12/31/2022).

Still the tasks are not having the project end dates.

How can i enable this? The requirement is basically to copy task dates from project dates. Because of this issue, during migration we have to load tasks along with transaction controls and asset assignments separately.
