How can we use multiple run time variables when creating a rule in the calculation manager

I have created a rule in calculation manager by using a formula component. In order to trigger the rule, I have setup a run time variable in the global range, and it allows the user to input the desired accounting period. However, I would like to include another run time variable which will ask the user to input the desired Balancing segment value so that the journal entries can be created for that specific BSV.

I did attempt to create a run time variable for the balancing segment value dimension and also provided a default value, but while validating the rule, it gives me an error stating that the member value does not exist (although it does - both as a value and in the hierarchies)
