FAFSA Simplification Act Changes for the 23/24 Award Year

We wanted to inform this community about recent policy updates effective for the 23/24 Award Year that were announced by the Department on November 4, 2022. A Federal Register notice [87 FR 66683] announced changes as authorized by the FAFSA Simplification Act (Act), which was enacted into law as part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2021 and amended by the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2022.

Below is a summary of the changes that outline any impacts to processing aid within Student Financial Planning, as well as considerations that may need your attention.
