Reset variable of type any (*) is not working

Summary:

Hi Experts

I have a page where i have populated the table with the variable of type any (value in variable i'm populating with the help of JavaScript i.e. for paging control as mentioned in Shay's blog).

Now if I try to use reset action in action chain it is not resetting the value instead the table will hold the value even after resetting. Please help how can I reset the variable of type any
