Why are single line comments not supported in Fast Formulas?
Summary:
Fast formulas allow multi-line comments using /* **** */ but do not allow single-line comments using --

Fast formulas allow multi-line comments using /* **** */ but do not allow single-line comments using --
Single line comments are standard in vanilla SQL, PL/SQL and pretty much every C-style programming language. Is there a reason for this not being allowed in fast formulas or is it just historical reasons?
Would there be support in the community for single line comments being suggested as an idea, or is this just me being irritable? Personally, I wish everyone would include more comments in their fast formulas, Oracle included, so anything that would encourage people to do this would be welcome.
