How To Create an Ubuntu Instance Using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Platform Images

edited Feb 23, 2023 10:28AM in Linux

You can create an instance running Ubuntu in OCI by selecting any of the available Ubuntu Platform Images when creating the instance.

For more details on the current Platform Images available in OCI, please check the OCI Documentation Platform Images page.

Both x86 shapes and ARM shapes are supported with the Ubuntu platform images, and all current Ubuntu x86 releases are 64-bit releases (not 32-bit releases).

ARM shapes are not supported with the Minimal-Ubuntu platform images, and these images are for x86 shapes only.

Howdy, Stranger!
