Automation of Custom compensation plan assignment
We have a requirement to assign the plan based on a custom date.
Standard functionality: When a user promotes say from sales rep to sales manager, in the participant details, we end date the sales rep row and add sales manager row with new dates and system automatically assigns sales manager comp plan to the user.
In our use case, As we have HCM in place, the end date of sales rep and inclusion of sales manager is done by HCM.
Challenge: This is how our business works.
If a user is promoted before 15th of any month, then the assignment of plan has to be ended by last date of previous month and a new plan has to be associated from the promoted month and if the user is promoted after 15th, the assignment of plan has to be extended till end of the month and the new plan has to be associated from the next month.
