Formulas or BML Script

Looking for a general guidance whether to keep the BML script or convert to formulas.

Content (required):

In a hypothetical situation, say there are some BML script currently in place to perform on a save action, and we want to break it down and use several formulas to manage the same process instead via auto update.

The auto-update features provides more visual updates to the user when they make a change instead of having to press save. And those changes via performing an action does not usually give a visual that something changed to the user. This is a plus as we do want to provide visuals to the user to indicate changes made.
