How can I pass the current date to a job that runs a BI publisher report with a text parameter?

I have a report that takes a date in TZ format (ex: '2023-03-10T00:00:00.000+05:00'), through a text parameter. I need to create a scheduled job for this report and to pass the current date to it. What are my options?

Unless I am missing some thing that should be fairly obvious, this looks like a very serious problem with the usability of BI Publisher and its scheduled jobs/system variables because nothing that I try works.

I have a data model that receives a text parameter that is later converted to TO_UTC_TIMESTAMP_TZ(). Unless I do it so date component extraction functions do not work. So, I am stuck with the text parameter.
