How to get first month of previous date - SQL Expression (Criteria )

Content (required):

We have created a Analysis report and business needs to schedule this analysis on first of every month to run for a previous month.

Eg : schedule date will be 1- May-2023

Run parameter should be : From 1- Apr-2023 to 30 -Apr-2023

I am using current_date - 1 to get the last date, but i am wondering how to get the first day of the previous month.
