Adding Comments From Req. Specific Status To System Email Template

Hi - 

When we move a candidate into a Req. Specific Workflow Status, we have the comments box pop up so we can place notes in it.

I know that I can can create an email to launch when I select a status, but is there anyway to automatically include the "comments" that we have entered for that specific req. when we select the candidate's status/next steps? 

I'm looking for a faster way of sending notes on a specific candidate to the HM when we submit them for review.

The way we are doing it now...we have to use the "send to" button...then search for the Hiring Manager/Req., etc.
