Does GET DATA in Responsys Programs only work with entries from Custom Events?

Hi all, we're starting to use GET_DATA to pull in valuable logging data for our Responsys programs (we're setting other PET table fields with data so we can use it for later analysis, and also assigning custom field values with the data coming from it).

We've noticed that GET_DATA does not appear to work when audience members enter via a scheduled filter. However, GET DATA does work when the entry is triggered by a custom event, whether triggered via the REST API or a Connect job. I assume GET DATA would work using a scheduled SQL view, but we haven't tried that yet.
