REST API - Responsive Content

According to API docs -

"Creating emails or landing pages with the htmlContent type ResponsiveHtmlContent is not supported. If you use the ResponsiveHtmlContent type, we cannot guarantee your email or landing page will be responsive."

Does this mean that we cannot create a new responsive email via REST API? Or we can still create the responsive email via the API but Oracle has no way of validating that it really *is* responsive through the API?

We have use cases where we create copies of existing emails using the REST API.
