Asynchronous Contact Deletion
in Eloqua
Overview
When users delete contacts, there is an asynchronous process that triggers which cleans up data from various parts of Oracle Eloqua. As a result, when viewing a contact list shortly after a large contact deletion, users might see a cached total number that is higher than what is actually available in Eloqua. This does not affect any processing such as campaigns or data export, only visually to the user. For example, a list may initially show 2 contacts, but only one will be displayed when clicking to view the detailed results, as the other has already been deleted.
