Update custom object data - Custom Fields

Hello All,

Has anyone ever updated custom object data, specially custom fields? It seems possible via the below doc, but I am struggling to figure out the correct syntax for the JSON

If anyone has got this to work, I would love to see a sample JSON with includes updating a custom field.
