Is there a way to create a UI blocker for long running actions in VBCS

Hello experts,

My application pages have long running action chains (taking around 10-12 secs in some cases) which do quite a bit of processing on Service Requests before coming back with the successful results. So I wanted to have a UI blocker that would show the screen busy with some rotating dial icon (or something of that sort) after the submit button has been clicked and then goes back to page only after the submit action chain has finished its task. 

Is there a way I can do that in VBCS?
