work order project-driven picking from project without task

We have enabled project-driven and we want to use project on work orders.

on the work order and on the purchase order we need to specify the project and task. however, when purchasing, the user does not know for which task he will be consuming the material. He wants to purchase for the project on a general / common task and then on the work order he will specify the project and a specific task. is there a way for the system on the work order level to allow consuming on a specific task which is different than the task he purchased the material on without having to do a project transfer from
