Impact of creating a custom field on Contract Overview tab

We created a custom field on contract headers and we want to know if it has any impact on the overall system performance.

Content (required):

We got a requirement of having 40 additional character type fields on contract header. We enabled DFF for 30 fields and since we ran out of the character attributes, we decided to go for the custom fields. Client wants those fields only on the contract header. System stores the data of custom fields in the column "EXTN_ATTRIBUTE_CHAR001" on the backend. Since we are planning for 10 custom fields on the contract header, we want to know whether it has any impact on the system performance or not. Like slowness in opening the contracts, slowness in switching over the tabs on
