Will HRT_CREATE_PROFILE_FOR_NEW_HIRE create a person profile for new hire when using Worker rest API

Hi,

We have HRT_CREATE_PROFILE_FOR_NEW_HIRE profile option enabled to create a person profile for each new hire in UI.

The plan now is to start to use Worker rest API to create hire information instead of the UI. Will HRT_CREATE_PROFILE_FOR_NEW_HIRE still work and create a person profile using the API?
