client side custom validation on input date field

Content (required):

I am trying to implement client-side custom validation on the input date field - and unfortunately not able to achieve it.

I want user to pick only 1,2,3,4 or 5 date of any month and any year.

Either other dates ( 6 to 31) should appear disabled in the date picker or user should get message below the field ( not firenotification ) - 'please pick date between 1-5 only'.

Any pointer on this would be really helpful.
