Intacct is being migrated to Oracle RMCS, and the client is concerned about Oracle's GAAP compliance.

Intacct Behaviour :

For a 3-year contract where the same product is billed at a different amount every year. Each year, they create a separate contract line and bill separately. The transaction price is allocated among these lines. Accounting does not post the entire carve amount for billing period-1 in the first year. A certain percentage is allocated to the first year, a certain percentage to the second year, and a certain percentage to the third year.

However, Oracle posts the entire contract discount amount for the period it is billed for.
