Can you disable/remove lot control of an item?

Can you disable/remove lot control of an item when you move it from warehouse/stores into a production/lineside location? For example, paint has an expiry date and needs to be therefore lot controlled. The lot control is important for the warehouse pickers predominately so they can consume FIFO and move the oldest parts to the plant for consumption. Once the pick has been made and the lot item transferred to lineside, the item is going to be consumed so the relevance of lot control is reduced. Can Fusion somehow remove the lot number from the item when the pick/transfer has happened
