Oracle Visual Builder Database Options

I'm currently engaged with a client on the development of a couple of apps using Visual Builder. We're exploring various database options as we anticipate that the default embedded database of 5GB might be insufficient.

I'm aware that VB apps can be connected to an Oracle DBaaS or ATP database instance. However, I'm curious to know if a VB app can also connect to a non-Oracle database on OCI or other cloud infrastructure.

Additionally, I have a question regarding an Oracle database on a private subnet. I've looked into several blogs and community posts about connecting to an Oracle database on a private subnet. However, my understanding is that this feature was unavailable as of the time those posts were written. Can you confirm if this feature is available now?
