Cannot remove value of 'Sales Product Type' and leave as Blank

Summary:

We have wrongly defined an item with a value under 'Sales and OM'/Product Sales Type field. There is no option to return the a "Blank" value as it does not appear in the available LOV.

How can we remove the field value?
